A newly formed partnership with Biocote® has resulted in the launch of the SCR’s anti-microbial SO-10 product line. This Biocote® silver-based additive which is added to the formulation during manufacture, will guarantee that existing ceilings are protected against bacteria, fungi and mould for the lifetime of the ceiling. Clinical tests within a healthcare environment have proven that products which are coated with Biocote® silver-based additive reduce bacteria levels by 94.7%.
The SCR coating is now the most effective ceiling product available in the fight against healthcare-associated infections such as MRSA and Legionella and will have knock-on benefits for other Hygienic Industries where clean room conditions have to be maintained.
