FAQ's
1. Is it a paint?
No SO-10 is an acoustic coating very similar to that used on the tiles
2. How long will it take to dry?
It should take 10 minutes to dry. If it takes any longer.
You have probably put too much on it.
3. Can I spray the metal grid?
Yes, both the tiles and grid can be sprayed at once and they will not stick together once the coating has dried
4. How far from the ceiling should I hold the can?
We say you should hold the can aprox 250-300mm from the ceiling
5. How many tiles will 1 tin cover?
We estimate that 1 tin should restore between 10-15 tiles or fully coat 5-6 full tiles with a light coating.
6. What is the shelf life?
2 years.
7. If i have a really bad stain on my tile will this cover?
We suggest if the tiles is more than 30% stained you remove the tile and fully recoat the tile to keep a uniform colour match.
8. Will SO-10 damage the fire rating of my ceiling?
No SO-10 is Class-0 fire rated, which is exactly the same as a new ceiling tile.
